How do I obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number?

Contact Us and let us know your order number and which product you want to return and the reason for the return.

Returns Policy

We offer a 20 day return policy on our products with the exception of custom or personalized products and "made to order" products, which are non-returnable.  All returns are subject to restocking fees set by the manufacturer, and customers are responsible for all shipping costs incurred to and from the shipping address.  Any returns of cupolas that were shipped under our "Free Shipping" offer, will have the actual shipping charges incurred by us to ship your cupola, deducted from any refunds, and you will be responsible for any return shipping charges.  The customer must first obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number by filling out our Returns Form.

Any problems with your order after 20 days should be referred to the manufacturer, under the manufacturer's warranty.

 * All returned merchandise is subject to a 20% restocking charge for weather vanes, 30% for cupolas and 50% for extra large cupolas (cupolas 60” sq and larger).  Products (excluding custom-built products) may be returned in new condition, within 20 days of receiving your order.

Additional deductions will be made for any missing, marred or damaged items.  Returned products that are not in perfect, resalable condition will not be accepted for return (except if defective).  Custom-built products are sold with a No Returns, No Refund policy.

Order Cancels/Refused Shipments - Once an order has been processed (packaged and labeled for shipment), it cannot be canceled.  Customers who refuse shipment are subject to a restocking fee and all shipping charges to and from the shipping address.  We provide free shipping of cupolas, but if you refuse delivery, or if the delivery truck cannot deliver for any reason, you will be responsible for all freight charges.  Motor Freight charges can be as very high on large cupolas, so please make sure you can receive the cupola when it arrives or make other arrangements to pickup the order from the trucking company.

Cupolas and Weather Vanes: Please inspect all packages for any visible or concealed damage immediately upon receipt and have the driver write that there was damage to the item on the delivery receipt, before signingAny damage or missing part requests MUST be made to Country Weathervanes within 5 days of receiving your order by emailing us at admin@countryweathervanes.com.

  • Again, please note any damage on the delivery receipt before signing.  If for any reason you can not inspect package at delivery please have driver write: "SUBJECT TO INSPECTION" on the delivery receipt and inspect thoroughly within 5 days.
  • If damage is found, do not refuse shipment.  Keep all packaging material and contact us immediately to report damage, and we will send replacement pieces.
  • Country Weathervanes® is not responsible for any damage claims after 5 days of delivery.   Claims are handled directly by the manufacturer under their policies and rules.

We only sell the finest weathervanes and cupolas that money can buy.  Remember our weathervanes and cupolas are not mass produced - they are works of art and sometimes your order may take a little longer than anticipated.  Please be understanding, and we promise to keep you informed throughout the process and quickly let you know if there are any unexpected delays. Most of our weathervanes ship in 4 - 10 business days, and our WhiteHall Products hand painted weathervanes usually ship in 2 weeks, but we make no guarantees as to when your order will ship.  Our handmade cupolas usually ship in about 2 - 3 weeks.  The products we carry are hand-made and we cannot guarantee the time when the product will be available, or when it will be shipped, but we will notify you of any delays.  Because our products are custom made to order (including cupolas and weathervanes) your credit card will be charged at the time you place your order. Shipping charges will be added to your order during checkout.  We DO NOT offer Free Shipping on cupolas being shipped to Alaska.  Free cupola shipping ONLY applies to the 48 continental states.  For a shipping quote to Alaska, please contact us at admin@countryweathervans.com

CUPOLA DELIVERY (Important):  Country Weathervanes® pays for "curbside" delivery of all cupolas -- meaning the truck driver will try to put the rear of his truck near the end of your driveway at the curb.  He will not carry or move your cupola any closer to the house.   If the driver cannot get his truck close enough to your driveway because of road restrictions -or- obstacles -or- you live in a neighborhood or street that makes it impractical to maneuver a large truck, you must add a "liftgate" to your order.  Otherwise, you will have to pay in cash whatever the trucking company charges to return to their warehouse, move the cupola to a smaller truck with a liftgate and bring the cupola back to your home.  This is NOT something Country Weathervanes® pays for and the charges would have to come out of your pocket.   That's why we recommend paying the extra $60 for a liftgate when you place your order for a cupola larger than 24".

A "liftgate" is the mechanical platform on the rear of some trucks that allows a heavy item to be lowered from the truck to the ground (see photo below).  Our cupolas (over 24") can be pretty heavy and are usually delivered by truck.  It could be a very big truck, or a smaller truck.  The truck driver should call you to arrange for a delivery time.   When the truck arrives, please make sure you have sufficient manpower to unload the cupola.  The driver is not obligated to help you (although sometimes they will).   Adding a liftgate to your order can make things a lot easier if you don't have enough manpower to get your cupola off the truck.  The Liftgate option informs the trucking company to send a smaller truck that has a liftgate on the rear.  Not all trucks have this feature so it has to be specified at the time you place your cupola order.  If you would rather not pay for a liftgate, your other option is climbing into the truck, cutting the straps holding the cupola to the palette, and then hand each section (roof, middle, base) down to someone on the ground.  Our cupolas are shipped on a palette, in three sections.

If a liftgate delivery is added after the order is shipped, it will most always be at least $60.00 upcharge and could also require a redelivery charge if the delivery was attempted and couldn’t be completed because a liftgate was needed.

It is easier to add Liftgate at time of order, and causes less chance of additional redelivery charges that you will be responsible for paying.
